CONTENTS PAGE

Contents pages are used to orientate the reader around the magazine, and in the case of a music magazine it can help the reader locate where the reviews are or the interviews, for example. Usually the contents is set, therefore the reader becomes familiar with the layout. Another element used in contents pages is editorial letters which gives the editor the opputunity to directly address the audience and reflect the style of the brand. There is also a chance for there to be synthetic personalisation as the editor's mode of address is usually very intimate creating brand loyalty.
